Golfer Lands $1K for 50-ft Putt

Bottineau, N.D. – Proving you don’t need to be Tiger Woods or Jordan Speith to sink a 50-foot putt, Bruce Henderson recently won $1,000, courtesy of the Bottineau Country Club and paid for by Hole In One International, after he successfully sank an impressive 50-foot putt during the Bottineau Country Club’s Annual Bash For Cash Golf Tournament.

To get a chance to play in the putting contest, tournament participants paid $5. Before Saturday’s shotgun start, five lucky tournament participants were selected and given the chance to make the 50-footer.

Henderson was the 4th to putt and sank the 50-footer with ease. And, thanks to the fact that the tournament organizers had all the contestants turn their backs to the green so no one would have the advantage of reading the green, Henderson’s shot was that much more amazing.

Insuring a Hole In One Contest in Canada

CanadianBall

O Canada…

Our name says it all! For over 30 years, Hole In One International has been providing A+ rated insurance coverage in Canada. Along with affordable hole in one and putting contest coverage,  you’ll also receive ancillary hole in one prizes, complimentary hole in one contest signs and tee markers, and a free golf club for everyone in your event.

How Canadian Hole In One Coverage Works
With Canadian hole-in-one insurance coverage, from Hole In One International, you can add excitement to your company, charity or golf course tournament by offering valuable, attention-getting hole in one prizes without the risk of a payout.   Hole In One International has been providing golf tournament organizers with A+ rated Canadian hole in one coverage since 1991. We offer hole-in-one prize coverage for anything with a cash value of up to $1,000,000.

From hole-in-one contests to putting contests and even Million Dollar Shootouts, we can do it all! We can even ship your signage there too!  From tee signs to sponsor signs, all you need to do is contact us for shipping costs and we’ll have it at the address specified on your sign order form in plenty of time!  Need a rush shipment?  We’ve got you covered… Hole In One International will get your golf tournament signage delivered before tee-off.

What Does Hole In One Insurance Cost In Canada?
The cost of Canadian hole in one insurance coverage is based on three things: the number of participants in your golf event, the length of the target hole, the cost of the prize that is being giving away. Generally speaking, the bigger the prize, the shorter the distance and the more players you have, the bigger your premium will be.

Keep in mind – all of our prizes are priced out in USD.  Want to advertise your prize in Canadian Dollars?  No problem!  Say you purchased a policy for a $10,000 USD cash prize.  Simply make that conversion to Canadian Dollars and advertise “C$9,908” (or whatever the proper conversion rate happens to be) on your sign!

Putting Contests: Single Putt vs. Combination Putt

Did you know that Hole In One International has two different types of putting contests available for you to insure?  We’re here to explain the benefits of both of them, the differences between them and how they both work!

Single-Putt Putting Contests
Single-putt putting contests are designed for a small number of players (we suggest anywhere from 1-5, depending on your budget) who are pre-selected and/or pre-qualified.  The most common method of narrowing down players is a simple raffle; however, feel free to hold the longest drive, straightest drive or any other type of pre-qualifier!  Once you’ve determined who the contestants of your putting contest will be, have them take a 50-foot or longer putt either before or after your golf tournament for the chance to win big, up to $50,000!  In need of some unique prize ideas?  Be sure to check out some of the prize packages we have available!  And if you want the prize value to be above our $50,000 limit, our sister company, Odds On Promotions, can definitely make that happen!  Single-putt putting contests come with a complimentary putting sign which advertises your sponsor’s name as well as the prize to be won — just make sure you send in your Free Putting Sign Order Form (if the paperwork is emailed, faxed or mailed to you) or purchase your putting contest insurance online at least 10 calendar days prior to your event!

Combination Putt Putting Contests
Don’t want to exclude any of your golf tournament players from getting in on the fun?  Then this format’s for you!  Have all of your players begin with a 10-foot putt.  Those who successfully hole the 10-foot putt will move on to a 30-foot putt.  Those who hole the 30-foot putt will then move on to a final 50-foot or longer putt for the grand prize.  If they hole the final 50 ft.+, they’ll win the insured prize — once again, up to $50,000!  Not only do combination puts-putting contests come with a complimentary putting sign, but also a FREE tee prize for each and every one of your players!  Remember: quotes for prize values above $50,000 should be directed to our sister company, Odds On Promotions.  Combination putting contests can also be purchased online via our website.  Just be sure to specify that it’s a combination putt format when you’re creating your quote!

Planning Your Company Golf Outing

In a panic because you’ve just learned that you’re in charge of the company golf outing?   Looking for some tips on how to ttake your current outing from drab to fab?  Good news!  Kristen Hansen, Social Media Marketing Assistant with Hole In One International, is here today to help you out with some great pointers!

Name Your Outing
This may seem like a no-brainer but  it’s important!  Give your outing an enticing, yet simple and repeatable name.  For example, rather than using a generic name like “Hole In One International Golf Outing”, try adding a few attention-grabbing words (i.e. Hole In One International’s Whole Office Tee Off )  Already have a name for your outing you’ve been using previous years?  No problem!  It’s never too late to change it up!  This is your tournament, after all.

Find Your Players & Sponsors
You and your golf planning committee should be able to target potential players and sponsors with ease. You can invite employees, clients, and vendors. You can assigne your sales team to identify their own foursomes. Whatever is best for your … as long as you have a  game plan on who you plan on inviting.  Tip: Be sure to have someone from your committee build a website for your golf outing where players and sponsors can register/pay online!  Not only is having a website great for advertising purposes, but it makes receiving your funds as easy as 1-2-3!  And be sure to offer your sponsors their own  sponsor signs so they’ll get their recognition out on the golf course!

Scope Out Your Venue
Another important step to planning any golf outing is researching the golf course/golf club where you’ll be holding your event. Make sure the course can accomodate the number of players you plan on having that day, make sure the greens are maintained to your satisfaction and always be sure to consult with your committee before making any final decisions.

Make Your Event Appealing
You need to stand out!  Consider using a celebrity or local business leader as your event Chairperson, which will give your event instant credibility.  Offer a large amount of sponsorships and load them with value.  Also be sure that you’re offering fun and exciting golf contests to your event — the hole in one contest is arguably the most popular, but you could also hold a longest/straightest drive or closest to the hole contest as well.  The possibilities are endless!  Add pre-, on-course and after-event games to maximize interest.

For more information and tips on how to plan your next company golf outing, don’t hesitate to give us a call at 800-827-2249… or email us!
