Hole In One Winner - Ernie ElsWest Hartford, Conn. – Congratulations to hole in one insurance winner Ernie Els (yes, that Ernie Els) who recently won a Rolex Yachtmaster II, courtesy of Connecticut’s Lux Bond & Green, and paid for by Odds On Promotions’ sister company, Hole In One International.

The Big Easy won the elegant timepiece, valued at $18,750, after he aced the 171-yard, hole 16 at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, with a 7-iron, during the third round of the 2016 Travelers Championship. Check out Els’ impressive ace.

This was the second hole in one prize that Lux Bond & Green has awarded in as many years. In June 2015, Andres Romero took home a Rolex after he aced the same hole, also using a 7-iron.

Raise More Dough With a Golf Ball Drop

Tournament season is here! Are you looking for a unique way to sell more sponsorships, increase attendance and raise more money at your event? If you’ve already added a putting contest or shochopper drop ot-out, this could be the year to take flight by holding a giant-prize golf ball drop.

A golf ball drop is a really fun way to attract attention, increase community involvement and raise more funds! And it’s easier than you may think.

It all starts with selling numbered golf balls. Donors purchase balls in hopes of winning your grand prize – up to one million dollars, paid for by Hole In One International’s sister company, Odds On Promotions.

A few days prior to your event, Odds On Promotions will preselect a few winning ball numbers. On the day of your event, you’ll drop all of the balls you’ve sold onto a designated target from a helicopter, hot air balloon, crane or bucket truck. If one of the balls landing inside the target area matches one of Odds On’s preselected numbered balls, the owner of that ball will head home a winner, and Odds On will pick up the tab!

Want to learn more? Watch one of the videos below, then give us call at 800-827-2249 and one of our Odds On Promotions’ representatives will be happy to give you a quote.

Golf Game Ideas: Choose Your Club – Guaranteed Amusement For Everyone!

Are you a planning an upcoming golf tournament?  Are you looking for golf game ideas for your players?  Then be sure to check out this particular golf game idea from Hole In One International: “Choose Your Club!”  Feel free to hold this game even if you just plan on hitting the links with some buddies this weekend.  Remember: it’s all about the ‘fun’ factor!

Here’s how it works: During the tournament, each end every player has to choose a club for the current shot that’s at play.  The players must choose from one of many different clubs.  Write the names of all of the clubs and stick them into a hat, bowl, or otherwise for a raffle.  Players each draw a specific ‘club’ which they must use to make their shot.  Sit back and watch all of the laughs when a player draws ‘putter’ when they’re a good 100 yards away from the hole.  There are multiple possibilities and it’s guaranteed to be a lot of fun for your players.

Granted, you probably won’t want to utilize this game on a hole where hole in one insurance is being offered (if applicable), nor do you want to make this game an all-day long affair due to time restraints: it’s best to choose a particular time during the outing to have them participate in “Choose Your Club.”  We personally recommend holding the game sometime during the 18th hole — that way your players have already reached home stretch by the time the fun begins… and they’re free to head back to the clubhouse after their round of golf has ended and laugh about the antics of their fellow golfers over a meal and/or drink.

We personally love this golf tournament game idea and hope you will too!  Need more golf game ideas?  Feel free to email us.  And definitely be sure to let us know if you end up utilizing “Choose Your Club” and tell us how it went!  We’d love to share all of the funny stories on Hole In One International’s Facebook page.
