Traverse City, Mich. – There’s no question about it, having hole in one insurance pays big dividends during any golf event, especially tournaments featuring professional athletes like hockey players.
For example, congratulations go out to Hole In One International’s latest winner, Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser. DeKeyser recently won a 2-year lease on a 2018 Porsche Boxster, valued at nearly $37,000, courtesy of Porsche of Motor City, and paid for by Hole In One International.
DeKeyser won the 2-year lease after he aced the par 3 155-yard 17th hole on The Bear Course at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, during the team’s 19th Annual Detroit Red Wings Training Camp Classic.
According to DeKeyser, who describes himself as an “OK golfer”, he was aiming directly at the stick and thought he had a pretty good shot. Turns out the ball landed about 12 feet behind the hole and started spinning back towards the cup. This was DeKeyser’s first hole in one. As luck would have it, this was not DeKeyser’s only winning shot of the day. He also took home a brand-new driver after he won a long-drive competition.

Hilton Head Island, S.C. – Hole In One International has had yet another golf winner! Congratulations to Chris Mabry of Lynchburg, Va., who recently won a BMW, valued at $50,000, and paid for by Hole In One International, when he aced the 140-yard 7th hole at the Harbortown Golf Links during the RBC Heritage Pro-Am sponsored by Boeing.
Mabry, who, ironically, happens to own a couple car dealerships, was playing in his fifth Heritage Pro-Am with professional Brooks Blackburn. A 16-handicapper, Mabry aced the shot with a pitching wedge, winning a BMW of his choice. Mabry is no stranger to hole in one coverage; he uses hole in one insurance at his dealership to cover the cost of a prize if there is a winner during the golf events he sponsors.

In what has to be one of the more interesting stories of the year, Rihal, President of the IFS Insurance Group in Mineola, ended up winning the very prize he sponsored, during the Long Island Real Estate Group’s Annual Golf Outing.
Rihal won the opportunity of driving the spectacular prize after he aced the 175-yard Hole 5 on the Overlook Course at Old Westbury Golf and Country Club with a 3 wood.
This was Rihal’s second hole in one.

Paris, Tenn. – Congratulations to Kevin Watkins of Paris who recently won a brand new Ford Focus, courtesy of Joe Mahan Ford, and paid for by Hole In One International.
Watkins won the vehicle during the Paris Henry County Chamber of Commerce 2015 Member Appreciation Golf Tournament when he aced the 194 yard 13 hole with a 5-iron at The Tennessean Golf Club. This was Watkin’s 3rd hole in one.
According to Insurance Agent Kenitha Ferguson with White & Associates – Wimberley Agency, the agency that assisted Joe Mahan Ford with obtaining hole in one insurance coverage, the dealership and agency have been working together to insure this tournament since 2011.
“The Chamber event – that is just one of many events the dealership sponsors and it’s just one of the golf events our agency insures,” explained Ferguson.
“The dealership is just thrilled with the response. It was the talk of the country club when it happened, and people were still talking about it at the chamber coffee last month,” she continued.
“This was our first big winner – and you know it was a bit nerve-wracking. But Hole In One International is very easy to deal with – they just make it easy – and the claims turnaround time was very quick.”
