College Student Aces $50,000 Truck

M-HIO-$50K-H349338-McGrawJason-AutoNon-Profit (4)Twenty year old Jason McGraw of Reno is driving around campus in a $50,000 Ford truck, courtesy of Jones West Ford and paid for by Hole In One International.

McGraw won the amazing set of wheels after he aced the 173-yard, Hole 11 at the Washoe County Golf Course with a 6 iron, during the 4th Annual Josh Morros Because I Can Golf Tournament which benefits the Head Injury Association of Northern Nevada and supports Josh Morros in his efforts to speak at schools and community event on determination, resilience, understanding, and the care and prevention of traumatic brain injury. This was McGraw’s first hole in one.

According to Tournament Director Teresa Morros, this year the event raised $6000 and they will be using the publicity they received from having a big winner to attract additional sponsors as well as participants for their next event.

“It’s funny. No one believed that there was a winner. Everyone was in shock. When I told Josh he didn’t me. Even Jason’s mom thought he was kidding when he called to tell her. Working with Hole In One International was amazing. They made the entire process very easy,” noted Morros.

Again, congrats to Jason McGraw on his amazing accomplishment!  For more information on hole in one insurance or putting contest insurance, give Hole In One International a call today at 800-827-2249 or email us for a free, no-obligation quote!  Happy golfing!

Hole In One Insurance Winner, Jay Stein, Wins Cleveland Irons!

hole in one insurance winner steinGreat news!  Hole in one insurance pays off for Jay Stein of Pompton Lakes, NJ, who ended up making a hole in one during the Patriot Golf Day Four Person Team Golf Scramble which took place at Patriot Hills Golf Club in Stony Point, NY on September 1, 2013.

Stein’s hole-in-one was made on the par 3 17th hole, which measured approximately 161 yards.  The shot was made with his 4 iron.  For his amazing feat, Hole In One International gave him a set of Cleveland® CG16 Black Pearl Irons.  That’s because when you insure a hole in one insurance policy with us, we’ll throw in up to four extra non-target auxiliary prizes on the other par 3 holes on the course that are at least 135 yards in length!

What’s more?  Signage is included in the cost, so long as we receive paperwork back 10 calendar days prior to the event… and every golfer in the event will receive a free tee prize, which consists of a FREE golf club!

Golf Promotions Make Great Fundraisers – Take It From This Nonprofit

golf promotionsLooking for a great fundraising idea that will draw a crowd?  How about insuring a few golf promotions?  That’s what this nonprofit medical center in the state of Kansas did, by insuring a few unqiue golf shootout contests, with the assistance of not only Hole In One International, but our sister company, Odds On Promotions.

Here are how the golf promotions worked: Come the day of the golf tournament, 75 of the players, invited via exclusive invitation, participated in a golf shootout contest, where if any of them made a hole in one from the specified 155-yard par 3 hole, they would win $50,000… compliments of Hole In One International.

While unfortunately, no one ended up making the prize shot, there was still good news to be had.  That’s because 20 of the those players were invited to come back and participate in a second golf shootout contest — this time, from the par 3 18th hole on the course, which measured 165 yards.  The players were qualified in various ways.  The 16 golfers who were closest to the pin from the prior shootout contest were invited back, 2 players qualified via auction, 1 via putting contest, and 1 via a chipping contest.

If one of the twenty golfers managed to ace the 18th hole, they would have landed $1,000,000 for themselves and $1,000,000 for the medical center, which mainly focuses on cancer research and treatment.  That’s a cumulative $2,000,000 prize… paid for by Odds On Promotions!

While no golfers managed to make a hole-in-one, money was still raised for the medical center and fun was had by all.  Make your next golf tournament or golf outing a huge success by advertising the chance to win big, compliments of Hole In One and Odds On Promotions!  Want every single player in your tournament to be given a chance to ace a hole and win the big bucks?  Then check out our hole in one insurance!  Give us a call today at 800-827-2249 for a free, no-obligation quote on any golf promotions of your choice… or email us for more information or with any questions you may have!  We’d love to help make your next big fundraising event a success.

Golf Tournament Players: Is There a Minimum Requirement?

Hole In One International is here today to answer one of the most frequently asked questions that we receive: Is there a minimum number of golf tournament players/participants that we must have in order to secure hole in one insurance?

In short, the answer is ‘no.’  All we require is that you let us know in advance that you’ll be having a small tournament format prior to securing your hole in one coverage so we can document it.  We’ve happily insured many small golf tournaments — and, in fact, it actually plays into your favor!  That’s because the fewer players you have in your golf tournament, the higher the prize value you’re able to insure without your premium increasing!  Keep in mind that the yardage also factors into that equation as well (the higher the yardage, the lower the cost).

On the flip side, if you have more than a full field of 144 players, you must notify us prior to us binding your coverage whether your golf tournament will be a Tee Time or Shotgun Start.

So there you have it!  No, there is no minimum (or maximum) golf tournament player requirement; however, we do ask that you let us know that it’s a small tournament format (if there are not many players in the outing) or if it’s a Tee Time or Shotgun Start (if there are over 144 players in your outing).  Also, make sure to let us know if any professional golfers will be playing in your event…

Happy golfing and good luck!  Have any further questions?  Give us a call at 800-827-2249… or email us!
